Another 600 miles today & I retract everything I said about Kansas looking too much like Ohio. Kansas is flat flat flat & the sky here somehow seems larger than it is at home. No twisters sighted. We finally crossed the Colorado border & passed a couple hundred more miles of grassy plains sprinkled with the occasional bison or wind turbines. The sky here also seems to span for ages, colorful & vivid. There are highways, Walmarts & Starbucks here just like at home but if you look past them there’s a line of blue mountains in the background.
